    Cho Oyu (did not summit)

In Fall of 2007 I attempted to climb Tibet’s Cho Oyu (26,906ft – 8,201m). Although it is not one of the seven summits, Cho Oyu is the world’s sixth highest peak. The weather was poor and we were forced to turn around at Camp 2 at approximately 23,000 feet. Spending six weeks in rural Tibet was an amazing experience.

In 2007 I climbed the Grand Teton (13,775ft – 4,199m) located in Teton National Park outside Jackson, WY.

  • Matterhorn

    Matterhorn

Traveled to Zurmat, Switzerland in 2006 and was fortunately to have good weather and summited the Matterhorn (14,692ft – 4,478m), a classic Alps climb.

  • Mt. Blanc

    Mt. Blanc

In 2006 travel to Chamonix, France to climb Mt. Blanc (15,781ft – 4,695m). It was a fantastic trip and I’ve returned to the Alps several times since.

    Bolivia 1995 – Huayna Potosi & Illimani

After getting my MBA from Kellogg, I spent a month studying Spanish in Costa Rica and another month mountain climbing in Bolivia. We climbed several peaks including Huayna Potosi (19,974ft – 6,088m) and Illimani (21,122 ft – 6,438m). I began my Wall Street career immediately after and did not climb again until my 2002 Kilimanjaro trip.
